rita was a bigger artist than charli at that point if we're being honest.

This remix washes the solo version and Rita really elevates the song, super underrated. 

 

Anyways idk really if any begging occurred since both were doing fairly well career-wise at this point. Rita was coming off of a successful debut album in the UK and even had a cute hit in the US with her Calvin Harris song, and Charli just had her breakout year with Fancy and Boom Clap. This was definitely just a coordinated effort by their teams since they were both trendy at the time.

no one begged lol Rita did want this for herself though! but so did Charli so they ended up releasing this remix later on

i used to say how much I hate this remix and that she ruined the original charm of this song and would get dragged and that it was Charli's idea, im avenged a decade later 

It's a literal tragedy that this replaced the solo version on every legally-available, in-print version of the album available today. The solo version is one of Charli's best works, but Rita just doesn't fit it for me at all (and I have nothing against her - she has some great material of her own). Like sure, even do the remix if you want, but we can't even manage a sad little standalone digital release of the original song?

Two successful female artists. We love to see it 

Rita appeals more to millennials and locals because she fitted the times.. Charli's won gen z over by pulling off a younger look, however she completely ripped off Robyn and Uffie so 

Doing It is SO good, love it.

Kingdom Come is another underrated Rita-Charli related little masterpiece. 

and Doing it is actually one of my all time favourite Charli XCX songs    really need another Charli & Rita collab

Pretty sure I remember Charli's interview saying she was annoyed by the demand to collab, and just let her and management remix it.

Rita don't get booked hosting and judging on those talent shows for no reason.
