Ah ok, that makes sense — smaller budget and fewer logistical headaches. Since I'm from Rome, I clicked on the video right away because I was expecting to see some familiar places and views. It's pretty obvious they were trying to recreate the vibe of some of Rome's more characteristic neighborhoods, like Monti and Trastevere, but the difference is huge. You can clearly tell it's a small town and not actually Rome. It would've been really cool if they'd done some kind of homage to Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn riding around the city on a Vespa, or maybe something inspired by Fellini. Maybe this is just something you notice if you actually live in Rome and go into it expecting to see Rome, but to me it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. The song is super cute anyway.
