yeah, Twin Peaks is unarguably one of the most important TV shows of all time. not only it changed the format but also the way the public engaged with television. a masterpiece.

Awful awful news. He was a genius and such a big part of my teenage years. 

RIP David Lynch. This sucks, I always thought we'd get another movie before he passed away. 

Ah, this one made me sad :( Usually with greats passing I kind of think how lucky they were to spend such a long time here doing what they love and I don't really feel much else, but I had for some reason convinced myself we'd see more from David.

 

Truly one of the greatest visionaries EVER. I read in the comments of the article about this that he was using an oxygen mask recently (which we knew as he had lung issues / emphysema due to smoking) and that he had to evacuate his home due to the LA fires. I guess that was all too much. It's deeply upsetting that we lose someone like him while literal demons in government - who do not give a flying **** about climate change - get to live comfortably.

Omg, my heart. This hurts on another level. He touched souls with his talent. One of a kind.

 

We sort of knew it was coming sooner or later; his health had been deteriorating for a long time. May he rest in absolute peace.

He won an honorary Oscar though,  much like Donald Sutherland who was never even shockingly nominated for one. 

RIP! His work was legendary!

So sad. No-one did creepy movies like David Lynch.

RIP. watched dune the other night and look forward to exploring more of his work. the government should be held responsible for these fires.
