This will remain her most (and perhaps the only) genuine moment as an artist.

This feels like classic Cher Lloyd in 2025, and I love that. This feels like a promising start for her.

Not I wrote it two years ago when Ride Or Die has had it for 5 years

She was first pitched it 4 or 5 years ago but has re-written, re-recorded and changed the production totally since then. The song's been mastered since 2022 when it was originally meant to come out lol

I thought the instrumental sounds kinda similar to the song she released with Imanbek, so I thought she'd just repurposed the song for that collab. Surprised this is actually coming out

:bloo: I fear they sound absolutely nothing alike

Plus she's had the song reproduced since then

Just noticed this on her yt channel banner, hyped even though I haven't heard any snippets and apparently it's from 2019? :deadbanana: (edit: nvm I've read that it's been reworked since then)

Lost was the **** so I hope she comes back to serve or else she'll flop even harder :kitty:

That whole album was a great listen.

3 years ago? What changed?

Does she have a label? Management? What exactly has been the hold up with her putting out music more consistently? People actually liked and missed her.

Also not for nothing but all of her droplets were actually good so where is the album miss cher lloyd

This sounds like it's gonna be good, but it's not something that the GP is gonna eat up.

I hope that won't discourage her from releasing more stuff. Her fanbase is niche.

She's independent and still with the same manager she has been with since 2018 but not under the same management company.

She's been trying to release Head Down for years now. Originally it was the queens death that screwed up plans as it was first due out at that time but since then she's gone independent and as well as that had a baby and taken well deserved time off to be with her daughters. Wouldn't shock me if a lot of the delays were to do with her trying to find a new deal. Just happy that she's back and she's saying that there's even more coming!

I have been on a Cher kick lately, when she randomly popped up on one of my daily mixes. I went back to like 2019-2020 era and ALL those droplet singles were fire. MIA is currently on repeat.

Hope you stream Head Down in only a few days !

Is this the song she performed at Mighty Hoopla?

Yeah

Excited for the song but just listened to the performance and it doesn't feel big enough for a "comeback" after such a long time, I hope she stays consistent this time and it leads to an album though

The song sounds fine, nothing the GP will gag over. I'm just excited to hear her voice again and we're getting a video too

I actually really enjoyed this. Had this come out around the same time as None of My Business, I think she could have shaped a pretty good album around this type of sound that might have got her some attention from critics again. I remember NOMB was pretty well received and did decently all things considered.

It doesn't feel like a big 'comeback' single, but I wouldn't be mad at all if she carried on making music in a similar vein, I think it suits her.

I really enjoyed it, it has the early 00's R&B vibes nostalgic factor but it doesn't sound like a comeback single..sounds more like a promo single

I was thinking I'd already heard this until I realized it's what she performed at Mighty Hoopla. It's good. I like it.

Yeaaah it's cute, but it's nothing she hasn't already done before.

Using "insta stories" in a song lyric let alone a chorus in the year 2025 is a choice. I know the song was passed around for well over half a decade but. Cringe.

I'm so happy she's back. This might not be a smash, but it shows she's still got 'it' and if put in the studio with the right songwriters, could produce something really fantastic.
