I&S promotions lasting only a week :skull:

I hate it as a fan but hearing idols talking about what it is like to promote in music shows I get why senior idols don't promote much it sounds like a pain in the ass

The way Stray Flops Touring stats are spammed on this thread like they are in their, "The Eras Tour" you'd think they are adding dates not cancelling them.

Are you slow? Stray Global have added multiple stadium dates, which is something NCT will never be able to experience. We all saw how it went when SM tried to book NCT the same venue as SKZ in Mexico last month.

Also, SKZ's one Madrid date has more attendees than NCT's European leg combined :rip: Like the nerve of an NCT stan, of all fandoms, talking when SKZ made everyone forget about your faves :deadbanana2:

And It's still a huge tour with 8 sold out stadium shows in Europe, what is something no one K-pop act has ever done to this date.

It was actually a poor planned decision. It should've been a Poland date instead of Madrid, so could cover up better their demand in Eastern Europe, where they have a huge following.

Like these people have no idea that this tour is not only the biggest Kpop tour in Europe, but also the biggest Kpop tour in history so far :deadbanana2: Like some of these people looking stupid as hell, trying to discredit Stray Global :deadbanana2:

They did the same in Rome, but at least It went well. The Madrid date should've been in Poland :chick3: they have such a huge fandom in Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia

I still can't believe that they completely skipped Eastern Europe :rip:

They don't chart well in Japan or chart in Korea at all. Oricon and Circle are the most important charts in the respective countries :emofish:

Uhm, now is the perfect time to inform you that SKZ literally has the longest charting single by a foreign act in Oricon history :deadbanana2:

Get into this classic

I'm so happy she's finally coming out as an idol again, counting the days for ALLDAY PROJECT's debut :heart2:

First KTRL are trying to come for SKZ's tour aka the biggest Kpop tour in history so far, and now people are trying to come for their popularity in Japan aka one of the most popular Kpop acts in Japan??? :rip:

Looks like I need to spam their achievements more in here to remind y'all

Get into this classic

even the stays in the youtube comments are admitting that skz arent the reason this popped off though. I think from our previous arguments there's like a single non-ost that did well for them there vs actually popular idol groups that got hit after hit at their peak :deadbanana2:

you stan the first "kpop leader" with no hits and i stan the first "kpop leader" that can't play stadiums outside of Japan. It's no tea kpop is just in the trenches :giraffe:

I think it's an oversimplification to say SKZ aren't the reason "TOP" did well or that they only have one non-OST success in Japan.

Yes, "TOP" got a boost from being an anime OST, but that alone doesn't explain why the song charted for over 214 weeks on Oricon. Most anime OSTs especially by foreign acts don't have that kind of longevity, they peak and disappear. The fact that "TOP" stayed on the chart for nearly 3 years says a lot about SKZ's growing fanbase and presence in Japan.

Also, it's not like "TOP" is their only success there. They've had several other solid-performing songs, like "Scars," "CASE 143" etc. Their Japanese albums have also done really well on both Oricon and Billboard Japan. They may not have had a long string of singles charting like old-school J-pop-focused idol groups such as BoA or TVXQ etc., but their album sales, concert attendance, RIAJ certifications and longevity speak for themselves. They're one of the most successful K-pop groups in Japan right now.

They are by far the most popular and consumed 4th gen group in Japan as well for example.

It's interesting how they are taking more risks with their Japanese releases in general. Like they would never dare to release a song like Hollow as a Korean title track for example.

Anyways if I were to rank their Japanese title tracks it would be:

  1. The SOUND
  2. Social Path
  3. Top
  4. Giant
  5. Scars
  6. Super Bowl (Japanese version)
  7. Hollow
  8. Circus
  9. All In

Imagine pulling 1,3M streams with a Japanese release when most groups are struggling to pull 1M streams with their Korean releases nowadays :DWAS:

People are really hungry for that official Stray Global comeback after all of these mixtapes and Japanese releases in between :DWAS: @Mitsuki

A song from the album has also been selected as the OST for an upcoming Japanese horror film
