It was actually a poor planned decision. It should've been a Poland date instead of Madrid, so could cover up better their demand in Eastern Europe, where they have a huge following.

They did the same in Rome, but at least It went well. The Madrid date should've been in Poland  they have such a huge fandom in Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia

skz and aespa were kinda the benchwarmers of kpop. One of them is a top 3 all time group for me but I'm glad the train is about to get back on the tracks shortly, they both work better as niche groups with a super dedicated fanbase than the driving forces of a multi-billion dollar industry.

What is going on, the same sentiment on every single corner of social media  I even met two of my Army friends this week, who aren't active in fandom at all, and they said they are perched for a Korean comeback as well. BTS, you have one job to do

They don't chart well in Japan or chart in Korea at all. Oricon and Circle are the most important charts in the respective countries

Oh, I see

They indeed don't chart well on Circle, but they kind of do well digitally on Oricon with their korean title tracks. They have a hit with over 100M streams on Oricon and a couple of songs with over 50M (that are also certified Platinum/Gold)

It really came down to poor planning. They announced the second Madrid date way too late.

Madrid didn't even need a second show. Sure, they sold out day one quickly, but by the time they added the second date MONTHS later, most fans from nearby countries had already bought tickets for other cities.

I remember being skeptical about whether they could sell out the first Madrid date, but they actually did with ease  Still, I never expected Madrid to get a second date over somewhere like Germany.

And skipping Eastern Europe entirely? That's just wild. It's arguably their strongest market in Europe. Huge missed opportunity, like they could've sold out multiple stadiums there.

 

Poland definitely deserved at least one date for example.

 

Germany should've had a second show too.
