No, not when shes in the same industry as other idols avoiding BOTH colors and any symbol that can be interpreted as support for either party. As posted before she's dealt with people attaching politics to her IG posts, this isn't new to her. Whilst those previous incidents were silly because it's based solely off of her wearing a color, the rose has represented that party for years now and to post it with the election being so soon? that post was a dog whistle

People like that user just want something they can use to hate on her.

Personally, I do appreciate when idols/celebs acknowledge their wrongs. Shows a bit of awareness. 

 

We have seen how other idols just wait for things to calm down and be forgotten so they don't have to bother to say anything.

None of that evidence is concrete enough for me. SM and Karina are both saying the post was a misunderstanding "We hope that artists' intentions will no longer be distorted and consumed for specific purposes, and we will do our best to protect all artists, including KARINA."

 

Why would she signal support to the Red Party then issue a statement both from the company for everyone to see & her personal Bubble to say she did not intend to show support for any party? Like come on now

My thing is why on a paying social media, the apology. And it's not only to Karina but most idols. Like what's the purpose of having an insta if everytime they want to talk they have to do it behind a pay wall because they are contractually obligated to do so.

As I said it's not against Karina but it's a thing from most idols, like for example, in one of their many lives NMIXX said they weren't really authorized to communicate via other platform that much because of contracts.

I feel like there's two different perspectives to have on the Karina thing and both are valid for right now.

 

Like on one hand she was wearing something red with a giant 2 on it, plus slapped on the rose emoji for further damage. That doesn't even get into what the liberal party candidate's son said about her in 2022. I don't think its fair to shame people for questioning her political views going forward - especially Koreans who are actually affected by these politics and the crazy **** that happened last term.

 

Meanwhile on the other, doing this will permanently affect her image regardless of the statements just made and hurts not only her but aespa as a whole. Can't imagine she wanted to troll or make a political statement for this election that badly to cause permanent damage.

i agree. but if she truly happened to show support to that party it would also mean she would be supportive of those same homophobes and misogynists since it's the PPP's entire program

 

 

not mentioning how ningning is also a primary target of the PPP and how its supporters have been viciously attacking her since debut, going as far as editing her namuwiki profile just because she's chinese. the whole issue has so many layers and i don't understand the selective defense / stanning of some fans completely dismissing how ningning may have felt when she saw that her member is co-signing the party that calls her a chinese spy. but i'm going borderline parasocial here. it's just one of the many layers
