My guess is, as soon as the HYBE restriction is over in 2026-2027, he will come running with A2O in Korea. He is already hiring many Korean staff to the company.

 

A2O May will be shelved or re-organized and suddenly he will announce a ton of Korean trainees preparing to debut...

Being influential doesn't make other GGs worse like toxic Mys pretend it does,  but, it does mean that aespa has a lot of power over the industry rn.

She'll always be my dad but this feels like a bit of very performative ass-clearing. She chose to renew her contract after the last tour, Sunny left around that time period so Taeyeon would have been in negotiations too. She chose a company that doesn't prioritize it's biggest star or cater to a fanbase that never stops demonstrating it's willingness to support her if it isn't treated like a lazy cash grab.

 

I was really upset when she told fans during the opening night of the tour that coming to Asia will be the only way to see her live because it was one of the rudest comments I've ever heard from a singer to a fan who traveled thousands of miles to support her, but the fact that the most realistic show for those western fans to attend after her statement was cancelled just makes it dirty.

 

You reap what you sow and she personally sowed the seeds of fan discontentment by not putting sone above the Korean gp coffee shop music payola she could only continue to get at SM. This is the same company that soft-disbanded the most beloved Korean girl group of all time right with its 2 American members right when the 2nd Hallyu wave started. SM has been openly hostile/antagonistic toward Sone through multiple generations of corporate leadership at this point. I really hope she feels ashamed. She placed her loyalty to an evil corporation above her loyalty to her adoring fans and every passing day since 2023 only makes it more painfully obvious that it was a terrible choice.

There were already people who were helping to find tune his ideas. All of that bs about casinos and environmentalism was a smokescreen to hide a hostile corporate takeover. LSMs pd company was paid enormously because other than Berry Gordy and Jimmy Iovine, he has the best a&r track record in the history of recorded music. So far the projects they've launched without his input haven't gone well. 

 

LSM has actually put Sunny's sister in charge of his other ventures so that he can focus on a20. If he finds the right investors I think we're going to get the old SM back, for better(talent, quality, legacy) or worse(everything else about that man)

Yeah, but BABYMON released an album with 8 new songs 6 months later after their EP.... While this will probably be MEOVV's only new music this year.

Phrasing it nicely, it's very "inspired" by aespa, but keeping it real, it's obviously a copy/imitation + it's long been known that HYBE is bothered by aespa.
