jennie - this is the one i'm genuinely confused. 56k is the same as lisa's numbers when lisa tanked. jennie released 6 back to back singles in the last month alone and her collabs are with it girls dua lipa and doechii. the no vinyls argument is not valid either since nayeon and jihyo released their vinyls months later. I think she's really not that big in the US I guess

 

 

I think with Jennie, she'll have longevity rather than frontloaded success because of how well the album is received. She just didnt have big initial numbers because:

A. She doesn't have a huge solo fanbase in the US.

B. She obviously didn't have an aggressive push for her album unlike BP's albums have with YG. Yes she released singles but music videos rarely do much outside the core fandoms unless the singles are backed by radio plays or even spammed in streaming playlists.

Speaking of Nayeon and Jihyo selling vinyls even months later, my previous post already covers the possible reasons for that I think.

JYP just didnt want the Miss A situation so he prioritized the group initially, which was fine because they became HUGE as a unit. But he didnt know when to switch gears on pushing their individual profiles and waited too long. Like imagine how much bigger Sana/Momo/Tzuyu/Jihyo or even Dahyun could have become at the height of their popularity and virality (of course there's also pre-2020 Jeongyeon but her condition has changed since the injury so i wont mention her). Like there was absolutely no reason for only Nayeon to be the viable soloist from the group 10 years into their debut, but here we are. All due to JYPIG's failure to act at the right time.

Yeji might not be the best technical vocalist, but i've always liked her tone and confidence while singing. I mean the girl is more stable while dancing than some main vocalists in other groups. And it's even more impressive when you know she DANCES like the rent is due every time. Definitely an all-rounder.

NMIXX's mini is nice. The title track reminds me of LSRFM's EASY, I use. Ocean is gorgeous and High Horse remains excellent.

Apparently u didnt understood my point.

 

I am not refering to feuds among the members as that never was really the problem of Miss A anyway. The problem was the lack of group activities in favor for indivindual ones. That was Miss A issues and it was BP issue as well. Fun Fact, both groups have the smallest discography among kpop groups and they were both succesfull groups.

 

Why group activities matter? Well, aside from making the girls bond and geting along, the most important thing its that it leads to strong fandom that its united. Thats why Twice stans are supprotive of their solo activities and thats why BP stans are fighting each other
