A neutral 3rd party to supervise Newjeans safe return to resume their activities is a good thing, yes, in an industry that is known to take advantage of their idols at every turn behind closed doors.

 

The point isn't to catch Hybe breaking the law, Hybe is savvy enough to avoid gross violations and to cover their tracks. It's to make sure there isn't some f*ckery going on. Think of it as some added protection to make sure things go smoothly.

The media is out of control in South Korea in general. Instead of holding the people in power accountable, they pick on the weaker party constantly, like they do with celebrities, driving them up to suicide without any remorse or repercussion. Trust in the media in South Korea ranks among the lowest in the world for a developed country. It's the entire system that's corrupt, but it's difficult to reform.

The new president says he is going to try, there is a reform planned to significantly increase punitive damage for defamation, to hold the media accountable for spreading rumors and harassing people. A dozen newspapers got sanctioned already by the press arbitration commission for spreading lies about Newjeans and MinHeejin. Harsher punishment could prove to be beneficial. Or it couldn't. These rules often get abused by the most powerful to silence others.

Babymonster's debut was so bad they retconned it as a pre-debut single, the warning signs were there from the start :P

the Allday Project song is so infuriating because why did they make Woochan, who is a talented, acclaimed, award-winning rapper, sing a few filler lines here and there, while dedicating the whole second verse to that Tarzzan character, who couldn't ride a beat if it had seatbelts??????

I think originally that was their concept. Copycat Blackpink. But I feel like all the good songs will be kept for the 4 piece group and Baemon is singing whatever tf that is that they released.
