Prediction for 2026: It might not be until May until the next aespa comeback but when it happens, they're gonna shock everyone again. 2026 is going to be one of their best years yet.

This AESPA solo mini delivered. Giselle eating up the other girls is a kii. She always gave me weakest link in the beginning but overtime is proving herself to be the dark horse of the group.

I want at least one pre release single in January/February/March if we really gotta wait that long for another comeback but hopefully next comeback is a full length album

how can anyone defend that corporation :deadbanana4:

Can someone explain to me why wasn't this part of the trial or was the trial about stuff not releated to this at all. Like what does this mean and why wasn't it done before. Idk much about legal stuff and I've been very OOTL of the NewJeans case.

A Japanese single would be great since the schedule seems more lax than a regular Korean comeback, but I'm willing to wait to let their team really cook. Imagine if it's silent for many long months from them and they suddenly they drop something as good as Armageddon Launch Code.

This is where I think SM is kinda losing it.

These girls clearly need a break and time to rest. This solo release could've been the perfect way to keep their names current while giving them a break.

SM should've really made this a physical release and had all 3 sets of solos on the tracklist (12 songs total). There also should've been performance videos for each aeXIS Line solo. If the girls were too busy/tired to film those, SM could've dragged the ae-members out of KWANGYA or wherever they are, to do it instead. I wouldn't even be mad at that.

It would've been a better use of resources than the naevis face morphs that SM keeps throwing money on...

WINTER's solo giving me a 2000s romcom movie break-up before the inevitable make-up montage moment

That's Kpop fans for you. They"ll moan about outfits and album shipments as mistreatment, but actual mistreatment is just overlooked as part of how it is to be a Kpop Idol.

The idea some users genuinely believe the corporation - the entity that solely exists to steal your money to enrich greedy old men and feed their ego, at your own expense - is the nice guy or is the victim over regular people is so absurd it's laughable.

Thank god Kpop fans didn't exist back in the 1800s and 1900s, otherwise we would all still be peasants beggars and slaves under kings and aristocrats.

Still struggling to wrap my head around the idea that Taeyeon, one of two hitmakers at SM Entertainment, has not dropped an album since february 2022, and has had 2 minis since then.

The other hitmaker, aespa, comes back every 4-6 business days and has got 5 minis, an album, a single album, and two digital special solo EPs in this timeframe.

There is next to 0 overlap in their sounds, so there's no problems with spacing their CBs out either. Taeyeon's solo sales have been stable or even grown since her debut year as well, she's not in decline yet, despite SM's best efforts.

SM owns aespa and the profits go to SM  So it's work work work work..

Once off a trainee contract, SM don't currently own Taeyeon -- they essentially work for her now.  So it comes down to how much of her money is Taeyeon willing to risk to increase her own profits plus those quality of life consideration.  Now, someone at SM should be continuously presenting her with proposals and demos and opportunities and whatnot as her management because its their job, but the decision and a lot of the risk ends up being hers.  And it's probably one of those situations where they fear to be too overbearing since she could just runaway.

I explained it a few pages ago

Yes it was used in court in the Newjeans lawsuit, but the judge ignored it. Judges prefer forming their own opinion and tend to ignore outside noise. The police investigation Min Heein VS Hybe has little evidentiary value in the Newjeans vs Ador lawsuit in which Min heejin isn't even the defendant, and is not a binding judgment the judge has to consider. It should matter, but legally it doesn't. It might still be used in the Shareholder lawsuit and countersuit, since it's the same case.

The Newjeans trial was done sloppily too tbh, only 1 real court hearing to present arguments and rebuttals, vs 3-4 for other lawsuits.

This was presented in court in the Newjeans trial, along the rest of the police investigation report that was heavily referenced by Sejong during oral arguments, but the judge has no obligation to take the police's findings into consideration when making a ruling, and he didn't. The police investigation was not mentioned once in the 28 pages ruling.

It's important to understand those civil trials are not investigations and don't look too deep into all the details. Simpler civil lawsuits can be very narrative driven. The judge is asked to pick which story is more likely between 2 stories, and in the Newjeans trial, he picked Hybe's story after a quick look at all the evidences presented. Hybe's legal strategy to overwhelm the judge with selectively compiled kakaotalk proved to be effective here.

The only lawsuit where the evidence presented may be examined more carefully is MHJ's shareholder case.
