Ok, so for the 3 users who give a damn in this thread, I read the 28 pages ruling in Korean and everything before it 



What is next for Newjeans? 

The gist of it, between now and the appeal, Min Heejin has to win her lawsuits against Hybe (easy to medium difficulty) to reframe the narrative established in the 1st Newjeans trial, from "MHJ is wrong and Hybe is right", to "MHJ is right and Hybe is wrong". The appellate judges then have to be willing to reexamine the facts based on the new evidences, to get a possible partial reversal (medium to hard difficulty).

Her Kakaotalk are circumstantial and have low evidentiary value, but when left unchallenged like in the Newjeans lawsuit in which she isn't a defendant, it was enough to frame Min Heejin negatively, and the judge used it to chronologically determine the start of the conflict is Min Heejin ranting in Kakaotalk, not Hybe retaliatory audit, invalidating Newjeans' arguments.
We know the conflict began long before that, all the way back to the creative differences between Bang Sihyuk and MinHeejin regarding the creation of Newjeans, to the constant interferences, to the slave contract, but this has to be established in court and be considered by the judge.

If Min Heejin can't win her lawsuits to get us out of this mess she created by leaving her kakaotalk yapping sessions all over the internet, we kind of deserve it, and we go on hiatus for the next 3 years and 8 months.

Well yeah, they just quietly work and don't show off much. Not all are rich though. Idols like Momo and Twice members in general are veterans in the industry from a long time who have been highly profitable. Not every idol gets to reap those benefits of their hard work. I kinda feel for the ones who spend a long time repaying their trainee debts.

There are some *issues* going on with Coridel, let's just say that...

 

SWMW3 was great for her career though. It led to BEEP BEEP, a sold out Asia tour and many CF opportunities which still continue now. 

 

I believe her contract with Coridel will end in February and I really hope she leaves the company and signs to a real entertainment agency going forward. There is still so much demand for her.

 What shocks me the most is the western people (kpop stans) stand with the abusive labour laws and culture of korea we are lucky we don't see contracts where we are just an object to profit with where you are debuted with a huge debt at the style of prostitution and where you just can't quit unless you what to open you boutique or try to date someone

The public at large, kpop fans and locals alike, have been supportive of Newjeans I think, on twitter, instagram, tiktok and elsewhere. Most people understand this is a labor fight against a questionable corporation in a rotten industry. You saw the rally with all the hit tweets, leading to the verdict joined by all the different fandoms, as well as the messages of sympathy when it was announced Newjeans had lost. It helps Newjeans has been universally loved from the beginning.

 

It's really only that one fandom, that one loud minority, who hates everybody, all the time, for no reason, and will spearhead hate campaigns every day just because. I have a theory, everyone has that fandom blocked everywhere, and everything they post on social media only ever gets engagement from their own fandom.  It's the meme 2 dumb ******* telling each other exactly.
