Im serious when I say this might be a top 3 (no pun indended) Britney Spears song oat. The production is so cunty, bold and sleek and despite the song being a little over the top it doesn't feel try hard or disingenuous at all, but effortlessly effervescent.

 

To me Its one of Britney's most catchy, commanding, and just the right kind of dramatic songs ever.. Do you agree?

It's kind of hard to appreciate those years knowing that Britney was totally checked out and those people were just moving her around like Weekend at Bernie's but yeah, on its face the song is a bop like everything else from Circus and Femme Fatale. 

I somewhat feel the same way about Hold It Against Me. Most of ATRL seems to dislike the song and the video but I love both.

That scene where she fights herself during the breakdown and that cut to her heels clacking. That is cinema!

It was such a trash, lazy song. It deserves no extra credit. Hold It Against ME on the other hand... that was a classic!

One of her best singles.

I've been saying how awesome it would have been to have a follow up to Circus led by 3 and with songs that are just like 3 (Max Martin and Shellback produced). In a perfect world it would have happened.

 

Being part of a Greatest Hits album kinda overshadows it for the fans imo.

well today's pop is very different from what we had in the early 2010s in so many ways.

thankfully kpop still holds those similar elements till this day to enjoy.

I agree with everything in the OP 

I'm a Britney stan and I love 3, but even I have to admit the song and music video were lazy af. I'd rather have her release another single from Circus (Shattered Glass, Kill the Lights, Blur) than this song and the unnecessary The Singles Collection.

Cute song but this is not even in her top 50 songs, let alone top 3

This song reminds me of the teen club I went to in high school. Definitely helped turn me into the f** I am today 

one random thing I love about this song is that the cute little Peter, Paul & Mary reference implies that it's a MMF threesome instead of what could typically be a male gazey  situation with two girls, and idk that tickles my fancy cause it's either male bisexual validation or men who are comfortable with their sexualities so either way… sexy
