Both projects flopped, but which flopped more?

 

Katy's album debut with less streams but it has higher average

 

Both artists did plenty of interviews. Katy has multiple singles, videos, radio deals,  VMA. Gaga has performances, playlisting, a current smash hit that isn't related to this project , and is marketed with the yet to be released Joker movie.

 

Gaga has mediocre reviews, Katy was panned.

There's no comparison, however, Harlequin got a big debut, better critics and better scores. Talent always wins.

Kary flopped harder but Gaga fans got it worse, another project no one asked for. 

I mean no one knows about Harlequin not even her own fan base right?

idc about the numbers of a side project.

 

the fact a side project with vintage pop & jazz covers outstreamed a pop album the label invested $$$ to be a commercial success is wild.

They're both relics from the late 2000s

Harlequins floppage hit differently - more severely - because of the high expectations and organic hype accompanying it. On a mental level, the flop is more consequential... and sets up Gaga for an interesting redemption arc with LG7.

Katys album was intended to be her big comeback thats why she crawlew back to the rapist

Gagas album is a cute side project with a dead genre and full of jazz covers

Katy had comeback hype, Dr. Luke, VMAs Vanguard + most iconic performance? award (), Rock in Rio, Australian Superbowl, a full pop studio album.....so she wins the flop
