So heres the thing: I think we all thought it was gonna be dreamy pop as in kiss me more/espresso. Its more like an alternative version of that. You can hear all the fresh funky/dreamy synths but its all constructed within an alternative mix. That said; I like the song and it will grow on me.

(I still haven't heard it yet, but…) I'm personally very glad it's *not* fully synth / dreamy disco pop. It would run the risk of becoming far too generic if she didn't take some creative risks with the structure, genre influences, styling etc 

She's really going for one of the best albums of 2025, isn't she?

I genuinely think the only "predictable" song she'll serve is FUFN.. And honestly had this song been straight forward disco I fear people would deem it as generic and she'd rather have people not like it for not having too many hooks or not being predictable than for being generic.

No but from the reviews from people I know and the demo snippet I heard in 2023 it seems very obvious structure wise which will work in her favour when it's out since people will be craving for her to release the most digestible pop song possible.

From this demo snippet I've heard i could place it on the Confetti album as a single along with SM and Confetti ... which is HUGE for my taste , top tier vibes 

 

Ugh i cant wait for it to come out but for now im just gonna stream the hell out of fantasy
