In light of Katy Perry's newest studio album being an abysmal failure in just about every respect, I thought we could balance out the negativity by saying something nice about 143. 

 

I'll start! Doechii kind of ate up her verse on IHHM. Also Gorgeous is at least better than a song of the same name by a certain other popstar, it was really nice of Grammy Award Winner Kim Petras to hop on that song

I haven't listened to the album yet but I like Lifetimes even though it's repetitive

It's not half as bad as these critics make it seem and we all know this. It's like a cute 6.5/10 overall. But at the same time, in the age where Taylor, Billie, Chappell, Olivia etc. reign supreme, music like this just won't resonate with the new generation of music consumers. 

 

One positive thing about this era is how so many fans of Katy don't let the biased critics and hate affect them and how they think about Katy. As long as Katy herself is fine everything else is. Waves of hate have always come with every single Katy album. Eventually you get used to it.

And on top of that, the album cover is incredible and I loved the MTV VMAs performance. Also the video of I'm His Hes Mine is amazing!!

I actually enjoy "Woman's World"  "Crush" , "Nirvana" and "Artificial"

 

and "Im His His Mine" and "All The Love" are fine as well

 

Nothing new or groundbreaking.

Lyrics and production is quite basic. Its OK background music for working, cleaning, etc

it's a cohesive album (every song is bad)

I woke up in the middle of the night and was having a hard time falling back to sleep. I decided to play the album for the first time and while I was half awake, it honestly sounded decent 

Wonder is really cute, love that Daisy sang the intro  I feel bad for Katy but she made her bed. Still, the album isn't as terrible as everyone is saying. 

it will be a wake up call for Katheryn whether she likes it or not

It's a Pop album. At least she didn't turn her back on Pop. Also she didn't follow trends. I pretty much prefer artists taking inspiration from their old past work rather than from everybody else's.
