  • This is a great album. Their production is superb, melodies, harmonies all so polished & crisp. And most of all I truly believe they've carved their own identity with this project.   The "t

  • TOP 3 DEBUTTTT OMGGGG ! IM SO SO HAPPY FOR THE GIRLS

  • I'm admittedly flabbergasted that this is actually coming out. Positively so.    Labels are ruthless, so them not having a charting single so far this this era didn't fill me with hope.

iwh2bmx - nocturnal - shoulda woulda coulda is an insaaaaaaaaaaane run like...

I AM SLAIN. It's like I'm listening to my favourite music in 2007-08 but with super polished production and insane melodies! Also the fact this whole record sounds nothing like music from the UK is insane for me, like this type of RnB does NOT come from this island

The album is cute and i enjoyed it for the most part, but i have to say that based on their EPs/previous works i was expecting more :katie:

There is some highlights and single-worthy songs such as In My Bag and Check (that was probably their best single since Fly Girl) but overall the album doesn't leave a lasting impression. I was like "oh that was cute" but that was it... and when i heard The Lead EP for the 1st time i remember i was so slayed and wanted to hear it again and again even though it was only 4 songs

I hate to agree with the music critics but indeed the album lacks an obvious smash or just something stronger, something they def needed for a debut album. But honestly like i said some posts ago, i think Fly Girl and Cardboard Box would be enough for that job already. My favorite tracks are: AAA, In My Bag, IWH2BMX, Nocturnal, Check, On & On and I'm Just a Girl (i wish there was more experimentation on the album like they did on this one!). Walk Like This is cute, although i think it shouldn't be a single - especially the lead :rip:

Overall i felt a bit underwhelmed because i had high expectations but it's not bad by any means. I think a 12-track album would be enough, with 10 highlights from AAA + Fly Girl and Cardboard Box. It's a cute debut but i'm not sure how it's gonna help them to build a strong fanbase or get an actual hit. I still wish the best for the girls because they're talented and perfectly capable to comeback even more stronger on the next one.

Overall a solid debut from them. But it just didn't SCALP me like The Lead did.

The highlights are the Pre Released Tracks + In My Bag + HDIF + On and On.

Around half of this album is filler though :rip: Especially the last batch of songs are just so weak. Maybe it'll grow, we'll see.

The way this song clears more than half the album. We were robbed

I'm assuming "Fly Girl" will end up on a deluxe either at Christmas time or next spring depending on what legs this album will have?

There is also whatever they worked on with Chloe x Halle (probably for CxH's third album), as well as some other songs teased here and there on social media.

I swear I saw a photo of them in the studio with Rodney Jerkins, and maybe one with Timbaland too?

They might already have a second album in the works.

I def need the CxH track :jonny3:

I was surprised it wasn't on the album, i thought we would get that for sure now

This is much more rnb compared to The Lead's pop sound. Not as many ear candy hooks. But it's a fantastic debut. Excited to see what they do next.

Nocturnal and I'm Just A Girl stood out to me the most on first skim

I like those two songs enough to give a full listen to the album tomorrow, I see the vision

This is a great album!

I wish they added Fly Girl. Anyone know why they left it out?

I really enjoyed this album!

Tight harmonies, solid beats, and each member has standout parts.

Standouts:

"Soft", "Caught Up", "In My Bag", "Bending My Rules", "AAA"

One more thought: this album is STACKED.

Goes from Destiny's Child to Ariana Grande ("In My Bag") sonically, and they smartly chose writers from both sides of the Atlantic. Surprise collaborators:

Tayla Parx, NovaWav, Morten 'Rissi' Ristorp, DIXSON, Sevyn Streeter, Pop Wansel (of Pop & Oak), Camper, Theron Thomas, JOZZY, Jay Versace.

MTE. That was a nice early 00s-sounding uptempo.

The lead was very much R&B the only pop adjacent song is summertime and even then it could be categorized as r&b leaning.

i'm still wondering why Fly Girl isn't included in the album :toofunny2:

i remember seeing people say that they wanted no features but glorilla is there so idk :toofunny2:
