Despite ATRL obsession on claiming Taylor Swift has no impact, there are several pop girls dominating the charts or on their way to that have named her as one of her main inspirations, a lot of which have been endorsed by Taylor and even invited on tour with her.

I have noticed people on social media have named these acts "taydaughters" so - which is your favorite?

 

Is it current chart toppers Olivia Rodrigo or Sabrina Carpenter? Is it this week hot new BB200 entry Gracie Abrams? Are you more of a Maisie Peters, Griff or Laufey fan? Is it another one I forgot about? I know some other artists like Girl In Red and Soccer Mommy have named dropped her as influences but I am leaving them out unless it is something more explicit.

Sabrina overall. But the more Olivia steps away from Taylor's shadow, the more she grows on me.

From that list I only know Olivia and Sabrina 

Olivia. SOUR had great moments, but GUTS was a very strong second album. It changed how I perceived her as an artist. She has the potential for more great music, even when success dwindles. I also use some Sabrina's bops, but never the whole project. We will see

 

from the indie girls I use Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy a lot if they were eligible, but that's because their other references beyond Taylor are right upon my alley 

Olivia is the only good one but it's pretty telling that all her best music came out after she emancipated herself from taylor

 

GUTS is excellent and nothing like the treacly balladry that comprised her bland-ass debut

Laufey, Sabrina and Griff 

Really touch choice between Maisie and Sabrina, but in the end I am choosing Maisie. The Good Witch was in my top 5 albums last year.

I think the same of Gracie Abrams. Close to You is straight-up Melodrama rip-off, but someone added drums to her first single and it sounds straight out of Solar Power too
