Scrap the Dr. **ke tracks.

 

There are plenty of producers she's worked with in the past that could still deliver her potential hits - Max, Benny Blanco, Cirkut, etc.

 

TBH though even if she did this, the damage may already have been done.

She is releasing a feminist song and also working with a alleged rapist on other songs on the same album.

There is no salvation, not even if she scrapped his songs bc everyone already knows she worked with him.

Cry on instagram live and claim the label forced her to work with Luke even though she begged them not to. Write a sob story song about the whole experience and get Jack Antonoff to produce it. Book a Chappell Roan feature for the second single with an expensive serve of a music video and have the theme be taking back her power or something. Lots of references to her old hits scattered about the place for the nostalgia factor.

Book SNL asap and end the showstopping performance with "fight the real enemy!" while she tears apart a pic of Luke. The tear she sheds is collected, goes up for auction and the profits are used to fund a Normani music video shoot. Era saved.

That song is a hot mess unfortunately. I feel so bad about her musical career and KC's. She doesn't want to improve herself actually. When I heard lyrics from the snippet, I feel exhausted. When they release, I'll listen it once but not twice.

 

For all the Dr. Luke madness, I don't think that bad about it. If they had produced a really good, catchy comeback single, all this nonsense wouldn't even be talked about.

No but I worked with one of the engineers/co-producers that has come back for this album, and have trickles of info from him.

Just don't. 

Say that it was a gift for the fans and get back into the studio.

He's the A&R, publisher, promoter and licensor of the entire project and now Katy Perry in general, as well as a major executive at Republic Records that's being borrowed by Capitol.
 

It wasn't clear if he was officially producing tracks on the album or going uncredited - he does both practices - but they're going to credit him it seems.

 

So there is no way they can remove him from a project he created from the ground up with Katy. Everyone knows what they signed up for over a year ago.

 

The truth is people like Katy, Max, even Bonnie, either don't believe the more serious allegations against Luke, or it isn't enough for them to stop working with him.
 

People invited themselves to work on the album. It was originally entirely in-house at Prescription Songs but then Luke had complaints he wasn't doing proper writing sessions, so they did them. A lot more people came to them than are actually on the album. 
 

Luke is probably going to have some PR work done specifically for him after this album and the Olympics. He's  worked on 7 Top 10 hits for Republic this year already including a #1, and there are still some big releases to come from other artists.
