I definitely hear the Des'ree sample in this, I kind of wish the chorus wasn't literally Lucky but this is a great summer bop.

The only hope for this will be if tik tok pics it up (for the chorus), I think it's a beautiful song but the lyrics are very personal and specific and that limits the appeal of the song outside the chorus.

I see why she released The End first, with Lucky being the lead. Wow the lyrics are very revealing. I love the song though. Hoping it can at least be a moderate hit for her. But yeah I think the lyrics might be too personal for people to relate. Unless the song/video goes viral, which it very well could.

 

Also I'm genuinely curious if Britney will say anything (good or bad) about this?

why would it  she's never reaaaally ever aimed for "comercially" well stuff in her entire career. some have ended up being that, some not. i don't think it's ever been intentional with her.

I do really like this. But all the teasing for this? Hmm, unsure.

I am disappointed, this is average at best.

It's cute and I like it but does she really think this is part of her confetti of big singles (as she said in her letter) 

would have been sick if she got Britney to phone in a "this is a story about a girl named Ashley" 

The more I listen the more I love it but I don't think this should have been a single, would have made a great opening track.

pretty sure they would release it tomorrow but was postponed at the last minute and forgot to change it on one of the streaming platforms. already happened with other artists
