Houdini came off Dance The Night's success and still missed the top 10. And carried by radio, all the other singles flopped.

Dua is bigger, but I have a feeling Halsey will be around in the mainstream for much longer. 

I guess we can say Closer was about as big as Levitating in the US, and Without Me was about as big as DSN. After that the comparison is a bit murky (DTN = Bad At Love, maybe?), and there is no way to compare their albums. However, they're certainly closer in the US than most Dua fans would care to admit

For an artist who was told by the CEO of Warner Music Group that they will make her the biggest force of the streaming era, these numbers don't seem to be looking very good.On the other hand, Halsey, who cannot get promo support for her albums and singles if she does not make music in the style they want by her former label, is selling in very good numbers.

 

Yes, Dua Lipa may technically have bigger numbers in total right now, but she showed that she won't be a stable name with her latest album.I don't know if Halsey will ever sell as much as manic again, but at least she will continue to be around as an artist who makes alternative music with stable sales.
