By “classic”, I mean a song that is so ubiquitous and loved across so many people that it’s almost guaranteed to be a classic song in music 20 to 30 years from now. In the same way Jolene, Hotel California, Don’t Stop Believing, MHWGO, AIWFICY, Poker Face, and Single Ladies are classics.

 

Flowers is one for sure. Maybe Blinding Lights? Y’all will say As It Was but while it was big at the time, it’s not really referenced anymore.
