Jack Antonoff is lazy. Here's some proof

Featured Replies

Here we can see how some random producer changed a few things like the drums and some synths in Sl*t! and it now does  really sounds like it belongs to 1989.

Jack used the same toolkit he used for Midnights and it shows. Same drum programming, same synths.
He was so lazy that some random person on youtube did a better job.

he can't compete with other big producers like Max Martin. Every song from hhim is so different. Think to the songs he made for britney, backstreet boys and Nysnc in 1998-2001. They are all so different, every song sounds so unique. And his 80s beats for 3 different The weeknd albums, it made everyone of them so fresh and new.

Also producers of drake and bud bunny, they're so ingenious, 300 songs in 3 years with never rycling a beat or a drum programming.

he's so obsessed with using those muted drums, it's kinda crazy :deadbanana2:

This version sucks and now it sounds like Jack's work on Lover :sistrens:

I mean every producer repeats themselves. I expect that. But here he didn't even understood the assignment. If he was going to copy himself he should have copied his beats from 1989 not the ones from Midnight.

It's some random person on youtube. You cannot have the same expectations as with the biggest producer atm. And yet this person captured 1989, Jacked failed hard.

Y’all do realize Taylor is also a producer on these songs, and wouldn’t release them unless she liked them like this :suburban:

Imagine Chemtrails' outro with the real drums... A 10/10 song would instantly be a 11/10

exactly, I'm all for Hack lashings but the vault sounding very Midnights coded is on Taylor not him. He made OOTW, IWYW, This Love & STF all sound exactly like the originals so it's not a versatility problem on his part :ryan3:

As if Dr luke and max Martin don’t have very similar song and drums :rip:

Your obsession with him is scary :mazen:

No one cares, he's a genius you want it or not.

Honestly if someone came to me to produce nearly everything they do on top of other artists and producing your own work, I would do the same thing. Work smarter, not harder.
