Houdini is in a very weird Position since its sharing its light with DTN, which is having a repeak now and which is more than likely getting a performance at the Oscars in a month, so further promo. Let it breath, let the two songs do their thing.

Most importantly, Duas presence is out there and felt on radios, so all they need to do is not panic, and then potentially release single 2 at the end of February or so

Predicted to go #5 in Germany this week  higher than any single from FN x

I still think they released this one TOO soon, it doesn't feel like it's a long-awaited lead single of a new era. Dance the Night proved to be probably a bigger hit than they imagined at first, and it won't stop until another month at least with the Grammy coming soon.

 

Releasing another single right now would be a tremendous disaster IMO, unless they want to pull a Future Nostalgia and release an album track with the album announcement just to tease.

Yesterday it fell due to NY day, from today on it should be more stable

Also another perspective: We usually look at charts from a very US centric point of view. However most of the world already moved on from Barbie + DTN in November, which is further proven by the international peaks of Houdini (which are more than solid). US is just late to the game (as per usual)

Actually it's been doing around 2M streams for a couple weeks, but with Xmas and New Year every comparison is tainted. Now we will see.

Dua's music is definitely more appealing to Europe. US is not late to the game, they are in another one.

the way this flopped is hilarious, especially when reading the first stages of this thread expecting it to be a monster hit and "everyone is talking/excited about it"

It's so funny reading comments like this, whilst also seeing this is about to climb into the top 5 this week in my country. Everyone is truly in their own little bubbles.

everyone has different perspectives but it's definitely not the ubiquitous smash we all thought it'd be/become. given it's dua's lead, the stats aren't good but for most ppl, it'd def be a moderate hit.
