For Houdini/Dua specifically I see the bigger than expected filtered streams as a good thing. 
 

She doesn’t have a gigantic, obsessed fanbase, so it’s not as though the streams are getting filtered solely cause her stans are streaming it over and over. I hope it means that people are hearing it and playing it a few times. Once this starts to reach more ears over time, it’ll start to pick up more and more.

Suddenly houdini sounds fresh again

Song is doing great, breaking personal records, and it’s only been 24h  The only people quaking are those that went after other pop girls the whole year and are afraid these other stan bases (Miley’s, Olivia’s and Taylor’s) will come for them and drag Dua  

yall....this is Dua Lipa gworls....her songs have ALWAYS taken time to peak on the chart. At worst it will be a Dance The Night / Break My Heart sized hit (both are really big overall).

The ships for VMA and EMA have sailed. I’m sure she would have served a great performance for the EMAs. We only have minor awards before the Grammys… would Dua do a Vevo Performance? A TikTok Live performance like Rosalia around Motomami? There are open possibilities

This is just not true, DSN got massive Spotify jump a day after EMAs performance cause it went viral and the same thing happened with Levitating at the Grammys

all prominent award shows like EMAs and AMAs wont happen this year and the BBMAs won't be televised. That leaves us with either SNL or a Jimmy Fallon performance. I think a TikTok trend where people make themselves disappear or something should be the priority. That's really whats gonna give this stability during the next months. But tbh, i think Houdini can stand on its own. The song is good enough

Virality with performances helped those that perform well and fans consume the performances. From Taylor to Beyonce and even Olivia and Noah Kahan, viral performances pushed songs or at least kept them afloat, especially past release week

The MV is a bit underwhelming though, considering the EXCELLENT videos she's capable of.
She could've made a video like physical 2.0 or sumn

I want a BBC live lounge if she does decide to perform Houdini and a classy performance at the Grammys. Maybe she can do SNL but im pretty sure she already did that

I hope she does the BBMAs and I don’t care if they’re televised or not cause 99% of her fans don’t watch those US shows anyway and just watch the performance on Youtube

Maybe we deserve those stadium shows with the next tour.
