This! I didn’t even mean to be mean but I hate when I meet Brazilians try to “other” themselves as if they’re better than the rest of Latinos with some weird superiority complex (they do that here in the US too) we are not like “them” so weird!

There was no need for you to drag my country over someone’s biased loud and wrong opinion. Bad Bunny is known in Brazil. He’s just not the same phenomenon as in the rest of the continent. International songs just don’t fare that well in Spotify Brazil in general, because local music takes over the whole top 200 (a lot of businesses use Spotify and that inflates many artists’ stats). If he were to announce dates here there would be enough people checking for him for arenas

I am obsessed with Brazilian music and I love Brazilian funk. From Rita Lee to Pabllo Vittar to Liniker, Marina Sena to Caetano Veloso to Mc Kevin O Chris etc. But it doesn’t make sense to me how a lot of Brazilians act like they are too good to listen to Bad Bunny (reggaeton) when Brazilian funk is judged the same way.
