Madonsters??? :deadbanana4:

Is that actually the name? :deadbanana4:

I'm not sure for the English speaking world, but at least in Latin America they call themselves Madders :giraffe:

I voted for BTS ARMY just because how they stole it from Britney, but I'm guessing it fits for a fanbse that stole multiple chart peaks from our faves

By the way, who started this whole naming your fan base?

Mariah with Lambs in the 90's.

Then the term "stan" came from Eminem and Dido.

I hate them all. It’s so cringe and reminds me of the early 10s. I just can’t imagine an actual adult calling themselves that with a straight face.

This is from Wikipedia

While "Madonna wannabe" became a popular media label to talk about her fans,[25] there is no a universal agreement or an official name for her fan community. Pier Dominguez from BuzzFeed News suggested that her online fandom called themselves "Iconers" (derived from the Madonna official fan club: Icon).[25] Others media outlets have called her fans as "Madders".[

"Madonna wannabe" has been a nickname associated with her fandom, or part of her audience over years. According to Annalee Newitz in 1993, her "youth audience" was called during the 1980s, Madonna wannabes.

I don't remember where I got the Lover thing from.

Thinking about it Maidens would be a cute fanbase name. :-*

It was actually The Beatles in the 60s. The whole idea of fandoms and stanning sorta starts with them.

The BTS ARMY is an acronym for “Adorable Representative MC For Youth”

All of them are cringe, but "kittenz" is the worst offender here. :rip:

The actual term “stan” comes from Eminem’s song though, yes? Is there any info about it coming from the Beatles?

No I meant fan base name.

They had Apple Scruffs, Beatlemanics, and The Beatle People.

I find them all ridiculous, but I find Monsters to be a hate crime

Neither is most of what we do in modern life

Smokers because it makes no sense, and Jepsies because it sound like the slur for the Roma people.

Kellebrities is just straight trash and needs to thrown back into the sewage it came from.
