1. Yeah, through a friend of a friend long ago that I'm no longer in contact with. It's still better than a good majority of Witness, but it's nothing special

this sounds so good  I love the vibe the video was going for, I think she should have just kept either the disco vibe/ or 80’s vibe for the entirety.

Oh, we're still pretending Witness is a bad album in 2023 just because it underperformed? OK.

 

Admittedly it's not my favourite release of hers, and has some below average songwriting, but it's not bad overall. This definitely feels like it would sit nicely in the realm of "Déjà Vu", "Power", and "Dance With The Devil". I still don't know how "Mind Maze" or "Bigger Than Me" made the cut over the bonus tracks, or scraps like this and "Save Me Some Tonight". Even "Normalize" would have fit the societal rebellion undertones of "Chained to the Rhythm", "Hey Hey Hey", and "Power" more.
