The Skull And Bones - Attention - Balut run is literally INSANE  

Kinda the Top3 from the album! And then with Love Life coming before and WYM after... wooo  

absolutely one of my fav albums of the year

This album is just growing and growing on me with every listen.. but why Attention as the lead? It’s not a hit, it doesn’t really represent the album too well, and it’s not one of the strongest songs imo.

 

She should have led with Shutcho or Agora Hills if she wanted to give a sample of the album but not necessarily put out a smasha (PTTR was the very clear choice for that, maybe demons). 

 

Attention is like 10x better for me in the context of the album but I swear when it dropped I was like wellitsover.jpg

But she raised the bar for what a rap album can be, something we haven’t had in awhile. She didn’t lie when she said people have been phoning in their music lately!

To solely introduce the concept of Scarlet + to explain her frustration with media, stans, etc.  I said this earlier and still stick by it…they never intended on “Attention” being a hit.

 

When you think about it, “Attention” gives more context to her idgaf attitude with “PTTR.”  She kinda telling a story with the order of her singles.  

 

”Attention” is weird though, b/c it fits the 2nd half of the album sonically…but message-wise it fits 1st half.  So that’s why it’s placed weird in tracklist, imo.  
 

But it seems Scarlet persona is over now (per Agora Hills video intro)…so I’m curious where she’ll take it next single-wise.

She is a streaming monster like most hip/hop, R&B artists. Didn't Planet Her debut with 10k pure sales?

People need to listen to albums to enjoy the music instead of sifting through it to find hits. It hinders your perception of the album and causes you to dislike perfectly good songs. Y’all do this every album and then switch when her songs chart well.

Agora Hills verses are a serve, the chorus is very underwhelming tho.

F The Girls is one of her best songs ever.

I feel like Planet Her is a much stronger and focused record tbh.

She absolutely ate. I love how she stayed true to her word and served a rap album yes mama
