Beyoncé is better, more impactful, more relevant, more artistic, more daring, more culturally significant.

How is Beyonce' more relevant??

Oh I guess measure of relevancy is also vibes now

folklore

Beyonce the album is remembered for reasons other than the music.

Both career defining records.

Prefer Folklore though.

folklore. beyonce’s album is just another generic record that was already prepared for her before she even walked in the studio

Haunted alone is better than Taylor's entire discography.

Folklore is overrated AF (Taylor is in general actually).

BEYONCÉ is exciting and top notch.

It doesn't matter how many threads y'all open; Taylor swift has never and will more likely than not never release an album of the same caliber as BEYONCÉ.

The superiority complex is so funny when one of the songs is literally Sia Demo:giraffe:

You could have just said you preferred BEYONCÉ

The AOTY winner, easily :cm:

Taylor had all the girls running to work with Aaron Dessner on folk albums. I mean, Ed Sheeran literally tried to have his own folklore this year (and yes it bombed astronomically, but that's a testament to Taylor's power as well)

Self Titled was a big step up for Beyonce's A&R person's musical output, but it's been left in the dust by folklore in literally every metric conceivable.

The poll asking which was more artistic, the op asking which was more impactful, the title not specifying one way or the other. :rip:

i noticed this too :deadbanana4: like wtf are even voting for now

The AOTY winner Foklore obviously. Its musicianship is on another level compared to the Sia demo album.

Beyoncé, with everything surrounding it as a complete package. It was a massive pop culture event, which was elevated by its presentation and music videos. It definitely had more impact all the way around, with the discourse surrounding the album through the ideas and concepts she presented.

Folklore is a beautiful album, yes, but it's not quite what Beyoncé is—not by a long shot.

Folklore is bigger, impacted the culture more and has more longevity. cardigan and august are more well known than anything on BEYONCÉ.

But both are iconic and had a huge impact during its release.

I genuinely don’t understand what’s the point of these polls. We’re on a Swiftie dominated website :dies:

Beyoncé was an entire visual album and explored so many sounds not only not done by Bey up to that point, but by mainstream artists in general.

If the question is about artistry, Bey wins.

They are both fantastic albums.

It's definitely Folklore.

Taylor is more artistically involved on it than Beyoncé is with Self-titled, I think that is pretty evident.  Folklore also feels way more timeless whereas Beyoncé is an album of its time. It sounds a bit dated nowadays. At this point in its chart run, Self-titled was struggling to chart in the top 200, while folklore is still in the top 10. I think it really speaks to the fact that people keep coming back to Folklore. It's just such a special record.
