None of them are big outside the sphere of people who like their music. The true last big pop era is Katy Perry's Teenage Dream (2010-2012)

  • TD got buried between 21 and 1989   Hell even RED, BTW and Loud were more successful in most areas.   OT: After Hours was considerably bigger

  • if you wanted to be nostalgic you could have at least picked an era that was successful on all parameters and not only singles, like 1989 for example.   To answer the thread question, Blindi

Blinding Lights alone

Then you have Save your tears

his tour

like Dua can’t compete nor compare

After Hours. Future Nostalgia is relegated to gays only and radio spam, for the most part.

None of them are big outside the sphere of people who like their music.

After Hours produced a hit that’s bigger than anything Katy Perry has ever released like please

and I don’t remember Katy smashing with a worldwide stadium tour like Abel is

be for real.

To answer the thread question, Blinding Lights and tour give Abel an edge, but FN was pretty great/big too

Not you comparing the weeknd 4th album to dua 2nd album, the weekend already a household name. :toofunny3:. Anyway, BL is huge but overshadowed the whole AH era, meanwhile FN had DSN, Levitating, LA and Physical, all of them become a hits through the year.

And what's up with these katy perry fans and td album... :deadbanana2:This isn't thread about her. :toofunny3:

Both are huge huge huge eras.

Save Your Tears and Blinding Lights (especially the second) are some of the biggest songs ever - although Levitating and Don't Start Now aren't far behind, Cold Heart too if you count it as part of the "era".

FN had more promo and singles (with some flops as well) and thus if you add all the singles together it might be bigger compared to After Hours total which had 2 huge classics and multiple medium sized hits.

After Hours is the bigger album for sure, though, and has the bigger tour as well.

AH. 2 humongous hits, acclaimed and a 300-400 million grossing tour

So bad bunny was jamming to her music too does that mean he's gay? :celestial5:

Can't believe both of these incredible albums came out so close to one another. We were really winning that month.

Lol the delusional i can't

Red, loud and especially btw weren't bigger than TD.

1989 and 21 kinda but TD is still a very memorable era

I voted for Dua because I didn't realize we were including tours. I feel like while Blinding Lights was huge and Save Your Tears was pretty massive as well, that the songs kinda overshadowed the era. If I see people talking about that era I see people talking about those two songs (unless they're super into pop culture).

Whereas I feel like multiple songs from Future Nostalgia were big enough and so cohesive that they kinda made a proper Era.

Like:

Now, if we're including tours, then yeah, After Hours + Dawn FM

(But Fine Line + Harry's House is bigger :gaynetcat4:)

I voted for the Grammy-winning and AOTY-nominated Future Nostalgia.

Blinding Lights overshadowed the After Hours era, so FN era feels bigger than it

i prefer future nostalgia but after hours destroyed it by far

blinding lights > levitating

save your tears > don't start now

his tour > her tour

his power > her payola and years of spam
