I would not say Taylor is Mcdonalds but Carly Rae Jepsen is the much superior artist. No one can deny that Carly is better than Taylor.

This. Taylor's discography is only weaker than Carly Rae Jepsen's discography. Other than Carly, Taylor is better than everyone else.

I talked to some Carly Rae Jepsen's fans about Taylor at Carly's concert. All of them do NOT even know a single song by Taylor but they know EVERY WORD of EVERY CARLY'S SONG. Monoculture is DEAD.

Google is free. Ava is clearly bigger than Taylor commercially in France. Carly Rae Jepsen has a #1 hit that spent 11 weeks at #1 in France whereas Taylor doesn't even have a top 5 solo hit. Taylor is a bigger touring force than Ava and Carly though.

I spent 8 hours listening to Carly Rae Jepsen's music everyday and I don't know any songs on Hot 100 nowadays except for Taylor who is also my fave. Is it clear now?
