I used to be a big fan back in the day. The Princess of Latin Pop hasn't released an album in over a decade. What happened there?

 

I genuinely haven't heard of her since 2014 when she used to be popular

Belinda will never not be relevant in the Mexican scene. The Christian Nodal mess was huge just last year 

 

It seems like she likes to perform and do collabs. Amor A Primera Vista was a great smash in 2019, and she will always be an icon, but I don't think she wants to have the MPG lifestyle again of countless recordings, fights with the label, releasing, going to promo cycle after promo cycle, extensive touring, etc. She was a child star after all, most of her childhood and teenage years were taken away from her because of working the whole time, so for now she just collects checks with random stuff and goes back to live somewhat of a peaceful life

Very bad press caught up to her in 2013. Catarsis bombed and she had years of bad branding until very recently, then she kind of ruined it again with the drama surrounding her relationship with Christian Nodal. I think she could have a cute moment again, but she doesn't really seem to care anymore.

With the right music yes but i don't think she really cares anymore

They were a highly publicized power couple, they were engaged, they worked together in The Voice but then they suddenly broke up and most versions and the media painted Belinda as the 'evil' one. Tons of memes and media coverage came after that. Christian Nodal changing his image, starting to look like a mess and entering his 'meltdown' era didn't help at all
