Do you Irish goodbye?

Featured Replies

When you’re at a party, club, or social gathering, do you ever leave without saying goodbye to everyone?

I just did this because I thought I was gonna throw up and left to avoid being messy :rip:

no I don't want my friends to worry about my whereabouts. I would hate if someone did it to me :rip:

no. i enjoy the attention of people being sad i'm leaving tbh

I go out of my way to not have to say my goodbyes. When I'm ready to go, I'm ready. Of course it's different if I actually go with someone, but... otherwise, I make sure I'm unnoticed whenever I do dip out.

My family gets mad cause I do that all the time :bibliahh:

No that's kinda really evil :deadbanana4: At least say goodbye to a couple of people so they know you left safely

most of the time yes. but only because everyone gets so drunk they don't really notice you leaving or even being there

I hate goodbyes, especially when it’s all hugs and kisses. I just leave and text at least one or two people that I left.

It’s my signature move. I’ll send a message when I have secured my exit as not to worry anyone.

Just tried to do this and couldn’t unlock the door and needed to ask for help

I haven't in a long time tbh

but at college parties I frequently would

Depends on the situation, if I’m with friends or family then no I always say goodbye before I leave. If I’m at a work event or with people I don’t really know then absolutely I’ve just left without saying anything to anyone

it's the only way i leave any type of social gathering :cm:

Yes

Mind your business and don't worry about where I'm going

If I end up decapitated & on the news next morning because I was mugged alone at 3 am, that's still on me

i always tell one or two people i’m doing an irish, in case someone wonders where i am. but i do it very lowkey and then i just leave. i usually find myself at parties with people i know very well so it isn’t that big of a deal, i just hate saying bye to people for 30 minutes and would rather catch my uber and get in bed asap :celestial:

Irish goodbye  Over here it's called Polish goodbye (sometimes French) lmao:rip:
