She seems to have become completely irrelevant in the pop culture landscape. What went wrong for the "Closer" singer?

Well she is 

 

1) a horrible singer, idc what anyone thinks that is just the objective truth

2) she wasn't able to build any sort of credibility in her almost 10 year long career

3) she couldn't accept the fact she is in the same league as your pitbulls and jason derulo's and nobody was buying her little "im an alt girly" gimmick

 

oh yeah and her label lost millions of dollars because of her last album, which makes nobody want to sign her anymore. guess she is going to be in the same league as maggie rogers now 

Halsey is doing fine with her future 3 diamond singles and an acclaimed masterpiece under her belt

This is the only one of ur lies I’ll pay any attention to - but Halsey is famously known for having a very dedicated tumblr alt girlie fanbase so this is just outright false. But of course I understand where you are coming from as not everyone can succeed with building a fanbase! 🐱🐱🐱meow meow

Tumblr alt girlie as in... alt girlies who like Yungblud and still listen to the chainsmokers honey. She wanted to serve Kate Bush and Björk level art girl cuntess but had a hard time accepting she is literally just a pop singer people know from the radio

Tbf, that was more her label being stupid and funding an IMAX vanity film in the middle of Covid. If it had just been the album, they probably would've been fine. 

I think the biggest problem with Halsey is her personality. I loved her music a lot and visuals but i didnt connect with her persona.
Too angry and triggered about everything. Egocentric and needed to be more humble. That was enough for me. She's very Tumbrl teen 
Billie was moving in a similar line to Halsey with her blue hair but billie is a sweetheart and too relatable

Because honestly it’s just never a good sign when your biggest hit is as a feature on an EDM song. Halsey, Daya, Zara Larrson (let’s be real), Jess Glynne, ROZES, anyone featured on an Macklemore song, etc. They all are just voices on songs that could have been filled by almost any other singer and it speaks nothing to their ability to chart outside of that feature. Their “success” was riding the coattails of a more popular act

I’m an OHH but it seems she fell off after HFK despite Without Me being a huge hit. 
 

She seems to have done well for herself as far as radio hits go. Idk what happened.

Shes a main makeup girl now 

i stream colors from time to time but she came for sky ferreira aka mother so it’s deserved 

 

She's non-committal. She wanted to be a serious artist and actually made one good album then backtracked when it flopped. (There was no need for it to have a movie, though.) She'd be more respected if she knew what she wanted to do and actually stuck with it. 

She is at a normal spot in her career for someone 10 years in 

 

She peaked years ago but she's still there.

The movie can't have cost them that much

 

Even some low budget hollywood movies have a budget of 1-10M

Except Halsey has “Without Me” which is a solo effort and 10x platinum 

She had one flop, but acclaimed era tho? she could easily come back? 

She is very pretentious and that's never a good sign...

 

She failed to capitalize during her Peak, and went to Tumblr tryhard with that Movie rock concept album. It made no noise and she hasn’t had a hit since.
