TTWE was a massive hit that eclipsed any other song from any album here. Applause was a MASSIVE underperformance and forced front-loaded flop lead. TTWE and Candyman were both HIT second singles. I slightly prefer TTWE but it could go either way, Candyman just has to be a certain mood, it's a bit of a novelty, but a very good one.

 

Applause is easily forgotten next to any other Gaga lead single, even Perfect Illusion is more remembered.
