a pop smash for sure.

Their fanbases always fight about nothing but they came from 2 eras with a very good radio support WW so for example here in Europe radios would eat a collaboration in this phase.

I don't believe in these "surefire hits" like most of ATRL that sound good on paper. Like when big names collab it's a guaranteed smash. The end result can be very underwhelming regardless.

I’d be here for it if it sounded like Telephone but not if it sounded like Video Phone. 

You have to remember that although they gave us the peak of both of their careers in Telephone, they also delivered the pile of turd that was Video Phone.
