The song title makes me think it will be thematically similar to “Believe” too (i.e. self-empowerment anthem about starting over again)

I really can't believe they thought Pearls would be a good single, it came and went so fast.

Surprised by how divisive Pearls is. But I have confidence Begin Again will be acclaimed - everyone who has heard it has listed it as a standout track. Pitchfork Best New Track like Spotlight maybe?

Agreed. I hated Pearls. We need Freak Me Now tho, a sexy french house mega bop 

I am a jessie stan since Devotion and I am so happy for the success of WYP era... however my concern is that she is just backing herself into a VERY specific niche corner, the disco-influenced stuff is fun but I also love her adult contemporary soft pop too.

 

I'm excited for this track though and am hoping it is a bit of a palette cleanser.
