Jessie Ware - "Begin Again"

I don’t know if anyone else will hear this at all because sonically and lyrically they are super different.

But vibes wise what I get from this is like someone filtered Janelle Monae’s BaBopByeYa through a disco lens which is about the highest compliment I could give a song.

Best song of the era so far and I’ve loved all 3. My only thing that I’m curious about will be how it feels in the album sequencing because to me this just screams perfect closing track.

Oh wow I hear it

But BaBopByeYa feels like a detached sole encore after the play is over, Say You’ll Go was already a great closer sonically, but at the same time BBBY just wouldn’t fit anywhere else on the record

Begin Again is more of a climax of the party (and of the album)

BOLD. ORIGINAL. TRIUMPHANT.

This has me SO excited for the album. This proves it is definitely going to be a new artistic peak for her :jonny:

Okay I’m glad I’m not totally crazy and someone else gets it.

I think it is how both songs are somehow contemplative and reflective about a dark thing while still having hope for the future. And they both feel a little displaced from space/time. Plus they both in different ways just sound so damn LUSH.  :jonny:

Love it, it reminds me of the House of Blue Leaves scene in Kill Bill and the music there.

This might be the best one out of the three.

The harmonies and delivery when she goes "is this my life, beginning or end" is my favorite part.

it's very grand and bombastic, almost too much, we'll see, pearls had also grown on me. free yourself >> pearls > this

I heard the MV version first and thought it was fine

Just heard the 6 minute version and it's infinitely better, wig in orbit. Mother MOTHERED to a new level.

She's insane :skull: the way this is better than FY and Pearls :jonnycat:

INSANE SONG, how does she do it every single time? It feels like she has not missed even once since dropping Overtime in 2018.

Very Strong 60's "The Fifth Dimension" specifically "Aquarius /'Let The Sunshine In" influence

Transportating to the times when this sound is ruling the charts back then

A delight
