Golden Hour is the fourth studio album by American country music singer and songwriter Kacey Musgraves, released on March 30, 2018, through MCA Nashville. Musgraves co-wrote all 13 tracks and co-produced the album with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk. A country poprecord, Golden Hour also contains elements of disco, electropop, electronica, and yacht rock.

I blinked  Truly one of my favourite albums of all time. Kacey deserved all the recognition she got from this era. 

my third most streamed album, it's sunshine in the form of music 

This will always be one of my favorite records of all time. It's like the stars perfectly aligned for her to create such an amazing piece of art. 

 

Pure magic. I've never heard anything else that sounded/felt quite like it.

I remember telling all of my friends about this record around this time. Nobody wanted to listen to me because she was “country” 

 

About a year later everyone was obsessed with her

Legendary album. The sound scape fit perfectly with her honey vocal. A masterpiece. 

One of my 5 10/10s. The album is just pure perfection top to bottom.

It’s sublime.

I remember listening to this album in spring when it was released and now spring is always associated with it to me 

Now this is a perfect album. She did what had to be done.

I was just thinking about this album yesterday. So nostalgic for me. It came out when a lot of things were changing in my life for the better.

I might like star-crossed a bit more but this album is so beautifully produced, Slow Burn, LIAWT and GH>>>> WE NEED NEW MUSIC

I don't think this album is anything earth-shattering, but who cares about my opinion? Kacey won a Grammy for this album and received crazy critical acclaim for Golden Hour.

 

However, this album does make an excellent listen for a long drive. And I will say it's very singer-songwriter-y and feels personal. Sometimes it's nice to have a pop album, even if I'm not in love with it, that isn't trying too hard and just wants the music to speak for itself.

I forgot it won AOTY  that was truly a moment

i have such fond memories of everyone i know getting into kacey and this album at the same time  a timeless, ageless classic.
