NBC has opted not to continue with the show as it focuses on growing its own People’s Choice Awards franchise.

Search is under way to find a new network for the Billboard Music Awards, which DCP has been producing since 2014.

FOX was the original home for the Billboard Awards so it'll go back there.

The Brits still air on ITV lol, don't know about the Junos but some Canadian channel definitely airs it

Istg if these streaming companies don't start picking up these award shows

Artists are not performing to grammys and vmas anymore. No need for 25 music award show any year. 

But probably someone like prime video with a lot of money Will buy the rights.

Since NBC owns Telemundo, does this mean the Latin Billboard Awards are also leaving Telemundo?

I thought it would be in the next decade or so but looks like the process has started now. Can't say I'm surprised. Ratings have been taking for years... people clearly don't care anymore.

tbh they did this with the Spirit Awards after channel IFC dropped that show. this is probably going to be the future of awards shows if they are able to cling on for life... streaming on YouTube where less than 20% of the audience from 10 years ago will still tune in if they still care enough.

That's why they changed the date. They need to find a new home I guess. 

That award show hasn’t seen success since like 2013

They arbitrarily made the tracking range for their data November 19th 2022-October 21 2023… thus ignoring the massive amount of streams and albums sold by Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift. As both artists have demolished records this past year to not include them in a larger tracking period is blatant riggery to prevent a full sweep by two artists
