These are vastly different albums (TAOSO is more similar to ESV) but both are really good. In my personal opinion, HOLYFVCK is the more solid album objectively from an artistic standpoint, because it is Demi at their core and the hard rock sound is very cohesive and strong, with stronger melodies, themes, vocals, and lyrics. However, I think Endless Summer Vacation is the more casually fun album with more diverse playful elements sonically, it's an easygoing mass-appealing album and the one I'd personally love to vibe to on a summer day. It is impressive how Miley managed to fuse many genres into a mellow California vibe, and still create an excellent cohesive project. While they're both introspective and honest projects, it's interesting that HOLYFVCK externalizes all the emotions and explores topics extremely deeply and honestly, while Endless Summer Vacation is more surface yet leaves much more room for mystery and nuance which can be fun. Demi's is more consistent throughout, because my least favorite songs I do not dislike and can still appreciate creatively. However, I have stronger negative feelings towards the lows on Endless Summer Vacation. I love both of them regardless. BTW I skipped 4 tracks from HF (City of Angels, Heaven, Dead Friends, and Help Me) because Demi's is longer and wanted the closing tracks to go against each other head to head.

The critics rated both similarly, with ESV new rating from PF both will be in high 70s
