It’s actually kind of sad that the pop hungry girls aren’t more experimental. I don’t think Say So would’ve gotten off of the ground had Doja not been able to build up interest through less generic singles.

It actually feels like they’re not listening to the audience because Megan’s more commercial sounding music has been ignored and I feel like most of the songs that go viral on TikTok are more raw/out there than the Say So sisters.

The thing that sets Doja apart is that: she can do the Missy Elliot, the Saweetie, the Nicki and the Cardi verses while ALSO doing the SZA, Anitta, H.E.R. verses if she tried. She has REAL pop appeal, pop listeners listen to Doja FOR Doja, not because a singer is attached to it. While hip-hop listeners listen to Doja FOR Doja's bars, Doja genuinely is a rapper-vocalist, 50/50 double duty on both she can do, no other rapper can do that aside from maybe Lauryn Hill.
