it’s not like BP was surpassed by any group when everyone was doing girls crush concept (including Itzy and aespa), they sticked to it after KTL underperformance and it payed off - it’s that Itzy went from „I’m happy with who I am” to „I will get that guy”… in a cringy way at that  JYP is just out of touch but he’s lucky that both Itzy and Twice have big fandoms 

 

could you imagine BP going from their concept to cute pick me girls? of course people would be confused (and they were when Ice Cream dropped, but that had Selena Gomez attached to it and it was their saving grace) 

 

groups shouldn’t drop their concept after underperformance, that’s what alienates them from the fans and gp - the public wants Savage ep type music from aespa, not complete direction change (see LTS flop performance) 

 

those agencies are just so clueless sometimes

i feel like this video fails to address the fact that their musical output post-not shy has been ass (minus loco). red velvet has comeback with different concepts their entire career and the music has been mostly good (looking at you queenmid and midday). jyp just doesn't know how to pick good songs

exactly this. itzy's downfall is because of their drastic concept and sound change and also that they refuse to stick to one overall concept/sound like they did for dalla dalla to not shy (along with the newer music being mostly average) - loona had the same issue where their predebut era to butterfly was a very distinct sound/concept then all their releases after that are completely different in sound (and like itzy, mostly average). 

i don't see a similar downfall happening to aespa and newjeans unless they drastically change their concept and sound for some stupid reason.

When will they announce ANTIFRAGILE as the winner of October so I can close this stream?

The Wonyoung hate is so interesting because her engagement is amazing and if you go on ANY - and i mean literally ANY - video from the Love Dive era, all most replayed parts will be Wonyoung's first solo chorus (narcisstic, my god, I love it...). But if you look at the comments she's barely mentioned. People are obsessed with her but also don't seem to want to stan her.
