I can see people trying to create a controversy BEFORE we have the actual song (or even a longer teaser) because it's easy to create fanfiction over a 15 second teaser and unleash their fake outrage before the actual material is released.

Bc it's usually someone else and not someone from the group directly. I don't think it's reasonable to think these groups have much say in anything, especially the newer ones.

The New Jeans Bunny is probably the most iconic image to come out of Kpop in recent memory. The way they  also got Coca-Cola & PowerPuff Girls Brand on lock too.

it’s just funny to me all of this because people were saying they were looking for controversy and scandals (as if NJ needed views and clicks ) when this was just a SMALL inside joke between Spanish stans because it looked extremely funny and ridiculous that a K-pop group would release a song called ETA knowing exactly what that meant in Spain.
