I mean it is very hard in this kind of context. Kpop performances on variety or morning shows are nearly always awkward as hell. Even better performers like Itzy and Blackpink have fallen victim to it

 

their vocals were extremely good and it's nice to see SM having them sing live, so that's a win at least
