This is how much their advertising is estimated to have brought the companies, not personal payouts.

NewJeans has generated half a billion in revenue, just not for ador.

I find those advertisement impact numbers to always be highly exaggerated. Something similar has been a trend recently with wwd releasing media impact values of Kpop idols attending fashion week and I doubt those figures are real.

The Not that far in question:

Total Sales in South Korea (Circle): 1,313,118 copies sold for OMG since January.

First week's debut on Circle Album Chart

1. #IVE I've IVE — 1,385,998

And obviously Aespa and BP are way bigger. They aren’t comparable. And if you include the cfs then BP is even more bigger.

why are you comparing IVE’s 4th release and a full album to NJ’ second and a single album? :rip:

they got 1.8m sales on Circle this year alone  and are still selling

NJ debut: 1,146,647

IVE’s debut: 483,929

NJ second release: 1,313,118

IVE’s second release: 921,844

let them release their first album before comparing them to I’ve IVE

Oh and the visuals. Nobody is touching Yoona to this day I fear. The unclimbable wall

New Jeans are not generating half billion usd in income, how come anyone believe this :biblio:

it's the money they generated for the brands

and i don’t think you realize how massive the coca cola and mcdonalds campaign were lmao

i don’t think i remember the last time i saw idols get enormous campaign like these two

Coca I don’t know but Itzy had a cf with McDonald’s during World Cup and they had a cf with Pokémon. NJ aren’t doing anything remotely different than other GG :hoetenks:

BTS with much bigger deals only generated 130B won last year.  You think a new GG would make more than BTS because they’re massive

ohhh i was talking about impact :jonny:

the hidden agendas in all of these posts lol

some can't handle New Jeans outdoing their faves

others keep diminishing blackpink's impact on the GG / brand influencer industry

you acting like mnet isn’t a part of the biggest media group in korea and isn’t a credible source :bibliahh:

How does Mnet being a big entertainment company have anything to do with their credibility? They aren't a news corporation and I doubt they came up with those figures based on their own research. They probably got them from already published business or company articles.

No estimate is perfect but domestically NewJeans’ campaigns are on a level rarely seen with idol groups and globally they already have a few key deals. They’re big business.

IVE may have debuted earlier but selling in 2021 is different is much more different than selling in 2023

Even with a mini, single or full. NJ would’ve sold the same

Since this is obviously half targeted at me, I’m not diminishing anything, I’m excited for new opportunities for all of our favs. More eyes on girl groups as a business model also means more eyes on black pink too. :deadbanana4:

Not IVE being on NJ level. Reality is going to hit that fandom in a few years harder than it did mamamoo :rip:

For now they have huge singles, an it girl, and shockingly great sales for the kind of group they are. Let’s focus on the real positives. :rip:

And so is After like, and the single sold 1,7 million? They’re no difference between a single album/mini album/full album anymore.

These campaign massive as they are, are locals and were targeting only Koreans. It was not like the Rosalia, TS or the BTS or Cardi deal. These global companies aren’t spending a huge amount of $ for them, it’s just not realistic.

Genuinely do not care about all of this, but why are you comparing NewJeans' 2nd release to IVE' 4th? are you supposed to make some point?

IVE' 2nd release Love Dive sold 922k on Circle, for accurate comparison :celestial5:

I wouldn’t compared them if the user didn’t said that NJ is selling on par like them:dies:. Like don’t compare them and then said but it’s their 2nd release. NJ will obviously reach new peak sales in their next era. But right now they aren’t on par with Aespa,BP and IVE in terms of physicals.

These figure are just estimated. It’s always hard to really calculate an EMV.

so your opinion about how much newjeans made is worth more than cjenm, chosun and osen’s reports? :ducky:

If IVE are being compared to anybody it should be T-ARA if they were able to sell albums :gaycat3:

Kpop stan use "Model" as an insult word not too long ago :cm:

Now everydol want to Model :clap3:

So you agree IVE is currently one of the most successful GG :bibliahh: MMM peaked years  later while IVE has already 5 hits in less than a year. I don’t think they have to worry right now

well same!

I do think things are going really fast

it's like since the GG industry is so lucrative again companies can't wait to push everything on their own groups

it's obvious HYBE wants a piece of that and they're actually succeeding so far, in contrast to other companies' attempts

they're doing a great job making their success bigger and bigger

I just hope they aren't rushing things too much and overworking the girls since they're still so young

Forever1 is the best K album since Pink Tape. Don’t @ me. :sorry:

Just one skip in between several 123 punches. Many career highlights in this one album oh wow. Closer you will always be famous.

Going from Freedom to Paper Plane is such a ride.

Paper Plane is also the perfect ending track to celebrate 15 years of an industry shaking career, as they deep dive in their solo projects.

Right now IVE is absolutely one of the most successful girl groups and their discography is immaculate. Don’t get what I said twisted.

The things they have aren’t the things that sustain groups at the top of the industry for long. I would be genuinely in awe if we were still discussing them as a 4th gen leader in 5 years where we’ll definitely still be talking about a few others.

mte. ive are only doing what the algorithm is telling them what the public will like resulting in them having 0 personality compared to the other groups :celestial5:

we already saw that in the past

this is such a mess!

I feel really bad for Joy, a first european tour and getting to see all the cities and fans would be such a cool memory for her

meanwhile their amsterdam concert is in a month and we still can't buy tickets! :hoetenks:

I missed the lists being done some pages ago. But my Top 5 favorite girlgroups:

1. BLACKPINK (as they've always been, since I got into K-pop in 2016)

2. ITZY

3. NewJeans

4. TWICE

5. GFRIEND
