Now why did you bring Stray Kids solo now? We knew JYP are reluctant to give solo activities at least until they renew their contract which SKZ contract are about to expired in 2025.

 

Anyway I could see the DanceRacha lines and Bang Chan (and to the less extent Han and Seungmin) have potential to success in their solo career. I mean you can just go listen their mixtape album SKZ-Replay with lots of their solo and subunit songs to see their potential.

literally i think that's what it is. aespa is another 4 girl group member band that also lean towards the whole badass boss ***** lane that blackpink do so blinks don't want to share that space. which is weird. blackpink opened alot of doors. let them stay open and the ones that are worthy will come through.

for the most part no. it makes their branding very convoluted to explain to people to give them a chance. if they just kept it as their aesthetic and visuals that'd be one thing but then we get all this extra stuff on the side because SM feels the need to establish it so hard as an excuse to not put out more music it seems so it's just excess fodder to their name unnecessarily

SM keeps bait and switching Mys. Illusion was a step in the right direction and Girls ended up being their most out there project yet. Welcome to My World has generic teasers but is probably going to be about naevis entering the real world.

 

All I hope is that this is building to a full length album that’s mostly/entirely free of lore.

If a more two-sided rivalry that isn’t driven by rabid fans emerges… A literal mid off of seeing which misogynist company stifles their GGs the most. 

 like i said if they kept their concept as girlgroup of the future to explain their aesthetic and look that'd be fine. then this concept can be them coming to the past and that'll explain the switch in look and sound but this whole kpop multiverse of madness is not the tea when it comes to them

 

now that they're picking up heat i hope warner does right by them and get aespa to collaborate with more western writers, producers and artists. book them a collab with a high profile dj like alesso, r3hab, steve aoki or since they're signed to warner to an artist there like anne marie, bebe rexha, david guetta, illenium, saweetie make their crossover happen

 

also theirs like no actual issues between the girls. i looked into karina and she stans jennie

i just finished posting how they should work with a dj lol the same way warner hooked them up on the tetris soundtrack they need to continue to do more of that to continue putting them out there. the more material the better

No idea about their comeback since SM are a mess now. Nonetheless we're getting fed in the next 3 months with LSFM/Aespa/Gidle/Enhypen/BoysNextDoor in May, Stray Kids in June, and NJ/ZB1 in July.

The fact that SM understands that people only tolerate the Kwangya stuff enough to bait and switch us twice is a promising sign that they'll eventually commit to dropping it. Red Velvet(Red / Velvet concept dichotomy) and EXO(Split group/promotions + rotating supernatural powers) are also groups that had very rigid concepts that were dropped after they were proven to be more harm than good.

 

What scares me though is that SM has invested a LOT more resources into this group concept than those others and NCT proved how far they're willing to take a bad idea to save face(they literally almost ruined NCT Dream, their only hope of staying relevant before aespa debuted, just to commit to LSM's vision).

Most of aespa's output has been done by western writers btw, just not big names. They should have booked sessions with Charli 3 years ago. Everything they do is literally dripping with her influence and she can't be that expensive compared to Dem Jointz who SM works with all the time. He literally produces for Rihanna and Kanye. The Welcome To My Island (George Daniel & Charli XCX Remix) songstress must be easier to book.

Yeah that fanwar was started by Blinks who were terrified when it was revealed SM would be debuting a 4 member girl group that does dance music. It was the first time the 2 companies have directly competed in such a similar space. Just off of the count of members they were already screeching about plagiarism and copycats. They were writing racist conspiracy theories about how Ningning's facial structure was faked to copy a Black Pink member and trying to spread fake screenshots of Karina trashing huge male idols. It was the messiest group rollout I've witnessed since EXO. 

 

End of the day they both ABG'd groups who make noise for gay ppl so I can't imagine they'd have any real issues. I was more talking about a rivalry emerging between the companies. Idols are usually too supervised to engage in any beef.

Definetely, im not speaking for other mys in atrl but i have this telegram group full of local indonesian mys and they are mostly are og snsd fan and we love kwangya lore and concept, its what set them up apart from other ggs, its actually what set sm apart from other company.

 

SM is known for its unique concept since mhj still part of sm she and lsm always had crazy idea that to some people might seem bizzare but somehow worked out. 

 

Red velvet is in a very in similar situation with their concept for example,  and reveluvs are loving the red and velvet side of them as their brand identity and concept.

 

I know most of mys here wouldnt give afk about kwangya as long as they are fed with great musics but they are also mys out there who are also excited about the lore and concept and being crazily hyped with what will aespa serves in every comeback..
