No lol.  She’s just dumb.  She was creative and a great artist back then but made a series of bad decisions that led to her music decreasing in quality and her reputation among her original fans being tarnished.

Grimes has always been a low talent imitator. She used to be a product of interesting influences. In the mid 2010s she became a product of the influence of the internet music culture echo chamber and the music started sucking.

Laughing and not being normal, Kill V Maim, Artangels, Pin, Realiti (yes the album version), World Princess, Venus Fly, Life in the vivid dream and Butterfly are all amazing pop songs, she really did that and all by herself

Honestly all her music before Player of Games has something to say and still holds up. She just hooked up with Elon and her music has taken a downturn, maybe she'll be able to rally, maybe she won't, it's whatever at this point.

 

She made Visions fueled off of a drug-induced haze so I mean, I can't really count her out for anything. 

I’m sorry but anyone who’s followed Grimes closely since Halfaxa/Darkbloom/Visions knows this is not unusual behavior for her. The ArtAngels bandwagons need to go back and watch her old interviews.
