Just posted to her story

Well, it goes without saying I’m extremely protective of my fans. We’ve been doing this for decades together and over the years, I’ve brought so many elements of my career in my house. I’ve done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care about my fans as much as I do. It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.

There are a multitude of reasons why people had such a hard time trying to get tickets and I’m trying to figure out how this situation can be improved moving forward. I’m not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could. It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets but it pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.

And to those who didn’t get tickets, all I can say is that my hope is for us to all get together and sing these songs. Thanks for wanting to be there. You have no idea how much this means.

:clap3: I mean that's all she can say. She dragged Ticketmaster for not being able to handle the onsale despite claiming to. She's not about to promise that everyone gets a free ticket because that's never going to happen despite the wishes of fans who think she owes them a personal slumber party.

I know this statement basically resolved nothing, but I actually really like and appreciate that she posted it.

I am sure she is hands tied behind contracts about what she can say, but this comes across as very genuine and it’s clear she feels for her fans.

this was basically just her saying "aw :( better luck next tour" in a pretentious essay format :skull:

Just now, Stan.killah said:

She got her money (again), she doesn't care and it shows :dies:

What would show that she "cares"? Playing 300 shows for free? Genuinely I want to hear what you think she should do to fix the situation.

Swifties and all stans must put pressure on Ticketmaster and on lawmakers to break them up. Artists are limited in what they can say because Ticketmaster threatens and blackmails them.

Specifically,

  1. write a message to the DOJ under the topic "Antitrust"
  2. write to the FTC at [email protected]

The only thing you can maybe say is that they should have filtered more who gets access to the pre sale, but idk. Are you really more of a fan if you bought merch for 200$.

And yeah selling 2.4M Tickets in pre sale is just so insane. And still so many people who didnt get any.

The fact that they thought a general sale was ever possible :gaycat6:

Literally :deadbanana2: They'll continue to make excuses for her though

imagine being so big that you have to post this. it's impressive and must be frustrating at the same time. the tour sold, and sold incredibly well but because of the way it was handled and because of the public and fan response, the dysfunction and sentiment went mainstream. I think what makes some, key word "some", of this a bit ridiculous is that a lot of the backlash online has literally been from fickle swifties who are literally bawling over not getting tickets. To me, this is a larger issue surrounding a parasocial attachment to Swift and feeling like you're "owed" tickets even if a casual fan bought some. I guarantee some of the backlash was inevitable because the demand was so high and the fans are very deadset on seeing their fav. We can be mad at a system and have a larger discussion surrounding monopolies, sure. But a lot of what I saw was giving full blown adult temper tantrum. A bit different when the lines are so blurred. Just my observations. Congrats on the success, even if some of it is a bit soured.

the way she said NOTHING after "Well." :dies:

How about "I APOLOGISE"? She was silent for DAYS, could've reacted sooner and maybe Ticketmaster would've done something about it. Now it's too late, she got her money I guess that's all she cared about.
